In 1995 Ian and Andy were invited to sing on the Mellstock Band CD Songs of Thomas Hardy's Wessex, which featured songs quoted or alluded to in Hardy’s novels. This song was collected from Mr J. Pomery of Bridport, Dorset in May 1906. Ian sang this song on the Mellstock Band CD, and we added it to the Magpie Lane repertoire very shortly afterwards.
