Morris dance tune from Wheatley in Oxfordshire. The title Trunkles occurs in several morris traditions, but this is nothing like the usual tune. The peculiarity of the tune may be partly due to the fact that when Cecil Sharp collected it, his informant whistled it - not always the most reliable way of performing a melody; especially if, as is quite likely, the performer lacked a full set of teeth!
