A morris tune from Abingdon - now in Oxfordshire but, until local government reorganisation in 1974, the county town of Berkshire. The CD liner notes incorrectly say that we play the Bampton version - but in fact at Bampton, and in most morris traditions where the tune is encountered, it's in a minor key, not in the major as played here. Given that we have a Bampton dancer and musician among our number, I'm not sure how we let that one slip through!
