Jack-in-the-Green track 8

A rarely collected song - and almost all the collected versions came from Dorsetshire. The version most commonly sung on the folk scene was collected by H.E.D. Hammond in 1905 from George Dowden of Lackington, and printed in A.L. Lloyd's Folk Song in England.

Ian used to sing this with Graham Metcalfe and Claire Lloyd - and what a sound they made - in the unaccomapnied trio Folly Bridge.
